Individual Occupational Therapy: can be provided to address physical, cognitive, emotional, sensory, psychosocial, and developmental needs. Therapy and support can focus on: developing skills in personal care; communicating and interacting with others; managing at home, school or at work; equipment prescription and/or modifying environments to support independence; managing pain or emotions; getting around at home, or in the community; achieving personal goals; achieving developmental milestones; improve hand and arm function; recover from trauma; live independently; or developing a positive lifestyle and leisure options.
Individual creative therapy sessions: Creative therapy involves using creative mediums and methods to explore and express things that are important to you personally. It is about giving yourself opportunities to explore things that hold personal meaning, because they are linked to events that have had an emotional or psychological impact (such as processing trauma), are linked to personal memories, or are about personal development, such as improving confidence.
It can also be about a busy professional taking time for themselves to do something new and innovative, that also holds personal meaning and enables them to create lifestyle balance.
Creative therapy mediums can be very varied, and could involve mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, illustration, sculpture, photography, creative writing, poetry, hand crafts, pottery and ceramics etc. At times the medium used and the process of creating is just as important as the message a person is wishing to convey.
